Lisa Shoalmire, Attorney

A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Lisa Shoalmire graduated from Caddo
Parish Magnet High School.  She then attended Northwestern University
where she graduated with honors and attained a Bachelor of Science  in
Accounting.  Lisa successfully passed the Certified Public Accountant Exam
and began working for a large manufacturer and then moved to a position
with a large public accounting firm.  After a few years, Lisa returned to school,
attending Baylor Law School and Hankamer School of Business  at Baylor  
University where she concurrently earned a law degree and a Masters in
Taxation.

After graduating from law school, Lisa was selected as a briefing attorney for
the Honorable Donald R. Ross, Sixth Court of Appeals in Texarkana, Texas.  
She was asked to stay on at the Court for two more years and served as a
staff attorney  for all of the justices on the Court.  After that, Lisa spent the next
few years working under some of the most well-respected attorneys in Texas
and Arkansas.   Below is a list of some of Lisa's other notable
accomplishments:

Argued numerous appeals in Arkansas, Texas, and Federal Appellate
Courts.
Was involved in nearly every contested probate proceeding in Bowie
County for over a year.
Has handled complex family law and civil matters through jury trials.
Currently represents some of the most successful businesses and
individuals in Texarkana.

Lisa is commonly considered a "go-to" lawyer in family law
, estate planning
and a
sset protection.  Additionally, she currently assists businesses with
contract matters, b
usiness succession planning, and buy/sell agreements.  
Lisa is licenced to practice in Texas, Arkansas, the Fifth Circuit Court of
Appeals, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals,  the Eastern District of Texas
and  the Western District of Arkansas.

Lisa is a member of the board of directors for the Texarkana Area Community
Foundation and Opportunities, Inc.  
She is also a professor of accounting at
Texarkana Community College.
John K. Ross IV, Attorney

Raised in South Texas, John Ross graduated from San Marcos High School.  
He followed that with four years as a United States Marine, serving as an
infantry squad leader with First Battalion Seventh Marines.  Immediately after,
John attended Texas State University and completed a Bachelors in Business
Administration with a major in Accounting.  He graduated with high honors and
was a member of the honors tax society Tau Alpha Chi.  From undergraduate,
John went to Texas Tech Law School where he again graduated with honors.  

Since graduating from law school, John has had a distinguished legal career
handling sophisticated matters for a wide range of clients.  The below list is just
some of the ways he has assisted the people of Texas and Arkansas:

Designed estate planning and asset protection devices for high net-
worth clients, including family limited partnerships, tax planned wills,
and various trust agreements.
Successfully handled multi-million dollar contested probate matters
while maintaining cordial relations among the family members.
Assisted countless families by helping them protect their life savings
from nursing home costs.
Developed plans for disabled individuals, including special needs
trusts, to maximize their quality of life and preserve needs resources.

Currently, John devotes his expertise to assisting individuals with their estate
planning and elder law needs.  He is licensed to practice in Texas and before
the United States Tax Court and the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.
 
John is also an accredited Veterans Affairs attorney,
the Judge Advocate for the
American Legion and a member of the board of directors for the Alzheimer's
Alliance.
