Neva Nell McCormick had an endless love of animals during her time on this earth. She was particularly fond of cats. She was married; however, did not have any children. Neva had a heart so big for the animal population of Texarkana that she even purchased a home for the stray cats to live in. She would visit the stray cats in Downtown Texarkana to be sure they were fed properly. As part of her Estate Planning, she left an immediate distribution of 1 million dollars to the Texarkana Animal Center located in Texarkana, Arkansas. She left the remaining monies to be distributed through the Neva Nell McCormick Foundation under the supervision of trustee John K Ross, IV. This foundation will issue grants annually according to the distributions set forth by the trust.
